In the beginning, John created a mess.

And from that mess, a world appeared.

It began with characters and places, hounds and kennels, old gods and forgotten histories. The peculiar thing is that John doesn't know everything that lives there yet. Much of the time, he's still discovering it himself.

John said, β€œLet there be light,” and it reflected off the hard ice and made the air sparkle.

He wondered what might live beneath that ice.

And somewhere in the Frozen North, Ninjhe began to walk.

That's more or less how it happens.

This is where John Rainbird creates β€” among paint, models, tools, books, coffee cups, cables and whatever else happens to be occupying the desk that day.

The worlds may be imaginary.

The mess is entirely real.
